Snow Coffee Bean—A collection of short stories growing out of the two soils that have made me. I’m writing about the mangos that hang from the trees, the sand that sticks between the toes, the snow that covers everything. I’m surprising myself every day with a writing process that demands truth, compassion and clarity. The sun that shines over there is the same sun I see here. The similarities surprise me every day.

Distillations—A self-professed junkie of dictionary.com, I get all Words of the Day emailed to me, then use them for small explorations of word-essence and association. Harbinger, yen, avuncular … what do these words mean to you? Each distillation is a one-take only—and a great writing warm-up.

Translations—Occasional retreats into the language of my childhood have resulted in a handful of yet-to-be published translations, including short stories and poetry from El Salvador’s writers of today.

Visual Arts—I’ve been a painter for 14 years, and have worked, during the last four years, in various graphic and design collaborations. At some point in the future, I will post some of the work on my easel.
